QMU is committed to complying with sector Concordats, National Agreements and contemporary standards of good practice that promote quality and integrity in research and KE.
In 2019, our Principal publicly declared QMU’s commitment to the . Our enthusiasm and support are reflected in our position as one of the first 15 UK Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to sign up for this national agreement.
We recognise the expertise and contributions of all those involved in research in HEIs. As such, we support the to enhance visibility, recognition, career development and sustainability for research support staff across all disciplines.
Underpinning QMU commitments in this area has been our participation, as 1 of only 22 UK HEIs, in the first national . We were pleased to report growing participation in the survey, with a 30% response rate to the CEDARS 2024 Research Culture Landscape Survey pilot. We are working with our research community to use the feedback to enhance excellence in our research culture and environment.
Fundamental to all of our work is supporting our researchers in maintaining the highest professional standards of research integrity to underpin the University’s commitment to the NHS Framework for Research Governance; as well as proactive implementation of the , the , and the . QMU also champions the Concordat for Engaging the Public with Research and the .
