The generous gifts from alumni and friends transform the lives of our students, staff and local communities, and the impact is far greater than their financial value.
Thanks to donor support, we awarded over 拢500,000 during 2023/2024, which supported everything from scholarships to research projects, paid internships to outreach activities.
Here are some of the ways philanthropic donations made a difference during 2023/2024
- 115 students received over 拢160,000 in direct support
- 3 fully-funded PhD studentships in health sciences
- 2.9 full-time staff posts funded
- 29 students completed paid internships with local enterprises
- 9 business start-ups backed with 拢15,000
- 拢5,000 of support for sports clubs and societies
- over 200 local school pupils received tutoring
