The BSc in Business Management with multiple specialisations specifically focuses on students with a prior qualification seeking a top-up Degree. Students with either;
- A Higher National Diploma/ SQA International Specialised Diploma in Business Management (SCQF Level 8)Ìý
- Partly qualified Professional qualification equivalent to RQF Level 5 from the following professional bodies
- CIMA subjects BA1, BA2, BA3 and BA4 (also known as C01- C05)
- ACCA (F1, F2, F3 and F4)
- AAT qualification (passed finalists of AAT)
- Diploma holders in Applied Banking and Finance (DABF) by the Institute of Bankers in Sri-Lanka (IBSL)
- the executive level of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CASL)
Would be able to earn a top-up Degree from a UK based University with 240 studied credits within just 18 months, instead of the traditional 24 months taken by most other degrees. The degree provides specialisations in;

Admission criteria
Entry to the BSc (Hons) Business Management (with specialisms) programme is primarily through the ICBS SQA International Specialised Diploma in Business (SCQF level 8). While it is anticipated that students will maintain their area of specialism when moving from the Level 8 Diploma to the BSc (Hons) programme, students from any specialisation in the Diploma will be permitted entry to any of the specialisms within the BSc (Hons).
Students may also enter the programmes upon successful completion of:
- CIMA subjects BA1, BA2, BA3 and BA4 (also known as C01- C05)
- ACCA (F1, F2, F3 and F4)
- AAT qualification (passed finalists of AAT)
- Diploma holders in Applied Banking and Finance (DABF) by the Institute of Bankers in Sri-Lanka (IBSL)
- the executive level of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CASL)
- Higher National Diploma (HND) holders-However, the students will not be eligible for exemptions from the professional qualifications
- Advanced Professional Diploma in Credit Management holders
- Pearson level 5 Diploma holders
- OTHM level 5 Diploma holders
- SQA Advanced Diploma in Business holders (SCQF level 8)
Students who have completed other OFQUAL regulated qualifications at RQF level 5 (equal to SCQF level 8) may be considered for entry at level 9 on a case by case basis.
ICBS requires all students to demonstrate sufficient academic English language proficiency to undertake and derive full benefit from their chosen programme of study. The language of teaching and assessment is English and students must meet the English language entry requirements of CEFR B2 as evidenced by the following SELTS (Secure English Language Tests).
